"I am at the City of
Champaign Personnel Department. I used to have a new
chair but I came in one day and this was what was at my desk.
Although you can't really tell from the picture- there is a horrid
green seashell pattern on the seat (beneath the numerous stains and
dirt)!"

"Here are a couple of our ugly chairs. Direct from the '60's.
The green chair belongs to Jim Kramer, president of
Thompson-Kramer Music Co. in Decatur, IL. The orange chair belongs
to his wife, Cathy, Inventory Control Officer."

"I try to stretch materials as far as I can. Here's my contest
entry - no fabric, no fabric condition; just a HARD PLASTIC seat
on an old business chair frame, connected with aluminum threshold
scraps."

The chair is so hard you might be more comfortable on the floor.
The padding is completely gone. It even leans forward some what
from the years of use. There are not only tears in the vinyl but
dark stains that would not come out. The chair squeaks and creaks
something awful."
